Hello there, and welcome to the WOLT!

Hopefully, by now, someone from our Welcoming Committee has stopped by to say “hi” and let you know we’re here to help you get settled in (we try to stop by within a few weeks of you moving in.)  Below is some essential information you might find helpful. Take a break from unpacking all those boxes, put your feet up and give this list, and our website, a good read!

EATING:  The last thing you probably want to do while unpacking is cook meals! 

  • PIZZA – Lake Travis Pizza: (512) 266-2287; delivery or pick up.

  • RESTAURANTS: Saigon Café (Vietnamese) and Flores on The Bend and Los Pinos (Mexican) are about 1 mile up Hudson Bend road, towards 620.  There are plenty more good eats places in Lakeway if you want to venture further.

 

UTILITIES/BASIC SERVICES: gotta get yourself plugged in!

  • ELECTRICITY: City of Austin Utilities: 512.494.9400.

  • PROPANE: Garnett Propane is one our residents use: 512.894.4480.

  • CABLE/INTERNET/PHONE: Will vary depending on which provider you prefer (cable/satellite etc.)

  • SWIMMING POOL SERVICE/REPAIR: Swim Pure Pools is the closest, at 5409 Hudson Bend Rd. 512.266.5798.  HERE's their website. Another good one is Pietri Perfect Pools (great for salt water pools, but they do chlorine ones too). 512.351.0323. HERE's their website.

  • SEPTIC:  Your septic tank should have been serviced, cleaned out and re-permitted as part of the process of buying your home.  Permits are managed by the LCRA (Lower Colorado River Authority) - 512.578.3216.  HERE's their website.  Cleaning services will vary depending on which provider you prefer.  If you still need service or have questions about your Septic system, one local company some of our residents use is Eco-Safe at 15101 Debba Drive. 512.266.2125.

  • HVAC: Here's one to leverage: Lakeway AC and Heating at 15098 Debba Drive. 512.266.8522.

  • WATER: We are serviced by Travis County WCID17.  Call 512.266.1111 to set up an account.  HERE's their website.

  • TRASH:  Your HOA dues includes regular trash service - you just need to put it into the dumpsters located in the Section 1 park.  If you don't want to haul your trash to the dumpsters and/or you want recycling services, they are done by Travis County WCID17.  Call 512.266.1111 to set up an account.  HERE's their website. Trash pick ups are on Fridays.  It's best to have your bins out the night before because they sometimes pick things up early.

 

OTHER ESSENTIALS:  to set you up with the basics

  • POST OFFICE: 2110 RR620. In Lakeway, just past HEB on the same side of the road.

  • UPS SHIPPING: 2121 Lohmans Crossing Rd, in Lakeway.

  • GROCERIES: HEB (2000 RR620) and Randalls (2301 RR620) are both in Lakeway, across the street from each other.

  • PHARMACIES: WALGREENS (2401 RR620) and CVS (2306 RR620) are both in Lakeway.

  • CAR TAGS AND DRIVER'S LICENSE: If you're moving here from out of State you'll need to update your car tags and driver's license within one month of taking residence.  The nearest DMV is at 13730 Research Blvd, Austin, TX 78750. 512.424.2600.

  • WEATHER RADAR:  We recommend KXAN News (our NBC affiliate). They have a GREAT app for your smart phone!

  • ELECTRICIAN:  Here's a local one some of us have used. Texas Electric. 1492 Long Branch Drive. 512.566.9470. HERE's their website.

  • PLUMBER: Lakeway Plumbing is right here on The Bend. Here's their site.

  • LAWN SERVICE/GARDENER:  Isaias Marquez (he takes care of a number of WOLT folks!) 512.785.9020

  • TREE SERVICE:

  • SPRINKLER SERVICE: Kane Irrigation (ask for Corey!) 512.783.6054. HERE's their website.

  • BUG/PEST CONTROL: BugMaster. 512.501.5420. These guys are totally natural (no chemicals!)

  • BOAT REPAIRS: Shawn Five Start Boat Repair. 512.721.9490.

  • VET: The closest one is Lake Travis Animal Hospital: 3623 RR620 (right at the end of Hudson Bend road, straight through the traffic light onto the other side of 620). 512.266.2421.
