Architectural Committee

PURPOSE OF ARCHITECTURAL COMMITTEE

Our architectural committee helps us maintain the value of our homes and the community in which we belong. They make sure we follow some basic guidelines described in our ByLaws and Deed Restrictions, to ensure our community remains beautiful and well maintained. We strongly encourage you to thoroughly read both of these documents and if/when you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact our Architecture Committee Coordinator.

BASICS

  • Keep your exterior landscape groomed and maintained, preserving natural flora/fauna where possible.

  • Keep the interior and exterior of your home well maintained. Promptly make repairs when necessary.

  • Do not park/store inoperable vehicles on the exterior of your property. If you are disassembling machinery for repairs/remodeling, please do so inside your shed/garage.

  • Motor homes, golf carts, boats on trailers etc. must be parked out of sight of the front of your property.

  • We strongly advise you to NOT submit any down payments with contractors/services until any required reviews are complete and you have been approved. 

  • If any work you are doing is expected to be noisy and/or cause a temporary influx of equipment/vehicles or any kind of mess, be courteous and alert your neighbors. 

  • Be sure to clean things up pronto after your project is finished.

DRAWINGS/PLANS

The architectural committee has drawings/plans of each residence/home/structure. These are the original drawings and may not include any updates from subsequent remodeling etc. If you are planning to do any remodeling you are welcome to leverage these records as needed.

REVIEW/APPROVAL PROCESS FOR HOME PROJECTS
Complete details can be found in our ByLaws and Deed Restrictions. 

 

Below are some key points to be aware of:

 

NEW POOL/JACUZZI: Requires review/approval from architecture committee.

 

RESURFACE POOL/JACUZZI without structural adaptations/modifications - no architectural committee approval is required.

NEW GARDEN HARDSCAPE OR STRUCTURES that are visible from the street require review/approval from architectural committee.

 

GARDEN LANDSCAPING /TREE TRIMMING/REMOVAL - Approval not required.

 

EXTERIOR BUILDING REPAIRS THAT ARE LIKE FOR LIKE - Approval not required.

 

EXTERIOR BUILDING REPAIRS THAT INCLUDE CHANGES / MODIFICATIONS/ ENHANCEMENTS must be reviewed and approved by the architectural committee prior to starting. 

 

INTERNAL HOME IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS - Approval not required.
